Our Sustainability Plan aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and demonstrates our commitment to delivering action against our 1- and 5-year targets. We also undertake external ESG benchmarking assessments to ensure we follow best practices. For example, we are proud to be one of the UK’s first Net Zero Carbon in operation retail destinations verifying in 2023 and aligning to the UK Green Building Council’s Net Zero Carbon buildings framework. 

Gloucester Quays is proud to operate an ISO 50001-certified Energy Management System (EnMS), demonstrating our commitment to managing energy effectively and improving performance across the centre. Through regular monitoring of energy consumption, performance reviews, and energy efficiency initiatives, we identify opportunities to reduce energy use, improve operational efficiency, and support our wider sustainability objectives. The Centre Management and Operations teams play an active role in maintaining and developing the EnMS, ensuring compliance with ISO 50001 requirements and supporting the continual improvement of energy performance across the site.
